So, What about the Café?
The Number one question we are asked is:
“Where are you located?”
Over the last few months as we have gotten this business off the ground, the number one question we are asked is: “Where are you located?”
There has been a tremendous outpouring of support and anticipation for our business and the community space we are working on building.
The honest answer to this question has been, nowhere… yet. There is a much longer response, but that is the simplest way to answer. However, this is just a temporary state for Adonai Books and Café.
Our E-commerce store is up and running, and those who live in and around Connecticut may see our bookstand at a local event.
Below is a simplified roadmap:
Build a Mobile Coffee Cart and begin setting up at vendor events and book for other private events
Scale the Mobile Cart portion of the business to work multiple events concurrently.
Build out a small food truck specializing in coffee, other cafe drinks and food.
We have some exciting ideas on how we want to set this up.
Open our Flagship Brick-And-Mortar location
This here is the beginning of the full vision.
The Bookstore and Café part of our Namesake.
Now to get to the true purpose of this blog post; We will be building and setting up a coffee cart to kick off the café portion of this business.
From beginning to end, and as we start to set up at events, we will be sharing the journey from where we are all the way to opening our brick-and-mortar location.
In the coming weeks and months we will be sharing the design, build, refining and launch of our coffee cart.
I’d like to end with a few scriptures about building and timing.
Psalm 127:1 (KJV)- “Except the LORD build the house, They labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.”
Because none of what we are doing here and what we plan to do is worth it, if God is not in it.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)- “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”
I would encourage you to read the whole book of Ecclesiastes, it’s a short read and one of my favorites. Chapter 3 in particular is relevant here.
Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)- “'For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
A reminder that the Vision that God has given us will come to pass, we need only wait on His perfect timing.
